With all my heart I would like to express my immense gratitude to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal for giving me the opportunity to serve as the Mayor of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. Siliguri, the gateway to North-East India, is the second largest agglomeration in West Bengal. Siliguri Municipality was established in 1949 which transformed into Siliguri Municipal Corporation in 1994. It has now 47 wards under its jurisdiction with a total area of 41.9 sq. km.
